Brief Introduction Ramwide Investments (Private) Limited (“Ramwide”) is a wholly owned Zimbabwean company that was incorporated on 5 October 2010 and commenced operations in the same month. The company is currently the only official dealer of products that are licensed to Rondebult Limited a South African registered company. Those products are mainly earth moving and construction machines and equipment. Prior to the formation of Ramwide, Rondebult South Africa had set up a subsidiary in Zimbabwe (a company which Ndabezinhle Moyo was also involved in as a director and shareholder). However, to refocus on their local market, the South African shareholders of Rondebult decided to relinquish the Zimbabwe market to a locally owned business. In pursuit of that objective, all the equipment that was brought to Zimbabwe and all outstanding business contracts were transferred to Ramwide. Therefore, although the company was established in 2010, it still boasts of a longer industry and market experience through the arrangement described above. Ramwide has decided to put more emphasis on machine hire and installment sales a strategy that is starting to open significant avenues in the market.
