Utande Internet Services (Private) Limited was founded as a Corporate Internet Service Provider in July 1997. Utande, an operating division of Dandemutande Investments (Private) Limited, offers superior customer service to client and partner organisations. Utande is linked to a major undersea, East African fibre optic cable. The Company's STM-4 (622 Megabits per second) Internet connection offers uncapped, guaranteed high-speed bandwidth through a carrier-grade network core. Utande services small, medium and large organisations throughout Zimbabwe and also has the largest state-of-the-art Data Centre in the country. The Utande Data Centre provides an ideal platform for secure robust business continuity and disaster recovery for banks and other financial institutions, as well as all organisations across private and public sectors, including Small Medium Enterprises (SMEÂ’s) and individuals. UtandeÂ’s tier-3 Data Centre and Network Operations Centre (NOC) are at Pegasus House in Harare. Facilities provided at the site include: interconnection to multiple submarine fibre optic links, a VSAT back-up dish, metro provider fibre meet-me point, VMware-based cloud computing infrastructure, antivirus and antispam gateways, virtual and physical co-location (equipment operated and hosted on behalf of a number of corporate and SME customers), redundant cooling systems, redundant power systems, fire retardation and supression systems, and the latest in security and access control.
