Colcom Foods is Zimbabwe’s leading consumer packaged food company, headquartered in Harare. We make high quality, great tasting, nutritious and innovative pork products and are proud to have our leading brands such as Colcom, Danmeats™, and Oscars™ Colcom Foods is a long established meat-processing company in Zimbabwe, with a reputation for a wide range of hygienically prepared quality processed products. It is principally a pork company producing quality beef products. Colcom Foods is part of the Colcom Holdings Group, which in turn is majority owned by Innscor Africa. Both Innscor and Colcom are listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange. History Colcom’s origins are in a farmer-owned cooperative established in late 1943 to assist with the marketing of their pigs. The then Cold Storage Commission acted as their agents until 1961, when the Cooperative’s first processing factory was built on the present site in Harare. In 1993 Colcom was successfully floated on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange and became a publicly quoted company. Colcom supplies wholesalers and retailers nation wide and operates its own and franchised outlets, including a Training Centre at “The Colcom Kitchen”. Delicious Products Colcom Foods products include a comprehensive range of fresh pork, hams, bacons, fresh and cooked sausages, fresh pies, cooked cold meats, polonies and canned meats. Most incorporate a wide variety and different sizes of products. These are sold principally under the Colcom brand, but the company also manufactures and sells specialised delicatessen style products under the Danmeats and Oscars labels, Greenacres for tinned vegetables, and Butchers Best for beef products from a joint venture company, Associated Meat Packers.
